I am a potter in the National Capital area of Canada. I've had a penchant for assembling pots together as illustrated by this Raku plaque. The pots on this website are examples of my older work. I will be putting up my newer work soon.

Raku is a process originally used in Japan to make bowls for the Tea Ceremony.
The pots are taken from the kiln while still red hot. The tong marks were regarded
as an aesthetic mark.  In the West, the process has taken the further step of post
firing reduction. The pot is put into a chamber with combustibles. Combined with
the thermal shock, this produces a crackled glaze accented by the reduction process.
